Our Work in the News

March 7, 2019

The work we are doing here in Houston focuses in two areas: displaced peoples and addressing human trafficking. Recently we have had opportunities to share with other news sources certain aspects of these ministries.

The Baptist Standard spoke with Butch about our ongoing Refugee Welcome Baskets. We partner with local churches, groups and agencies to put the baskets together and deliver to newly arrived refugees. Check out the article here. Interested in joining us in a project like this? Contact bgreen@cbf.net for more information.

Baptist News Global's Jeff Brumley spoke with Nell about the incident involving Robert Kraft's solicitation of sex workers and how that fits with human trafficking and the #MeToo movement. Ending sexual exploitation begins when we cease to accept this type of behavior. Read the question and answer interview here. Would you like to know more about human trafficking? Contact nell@cbfinternationals.org.

Finally, the property management company that manages the building in which the Threads by Nomad studio is located featured our efforts in their most recent "tenant spotlight." Thank you to Boxer Property for helping us make a difference in the lives of refugees!
