January is always a crazy month, isn't it? I play catch up for about 3 weeks after the rush and family time of the holiday season. So, honestly, every year it kind of sneaks up on me that January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month.
We have been intentionally addressing human trafficking for almost 13 years. I was introduced to the issue by a colleague and realized I had been witnessing various forms of trafficking my entire career. Did you know that you may well have witnessed it at times as well without knowing it?
I wrote an article for the Union Baptist Association about understanding and ending human trafficking. Please take a moment to read it. We are here to assist you and your community in any way we can. Don't hesitate to call on us. May 2019 be the year the world experiences an end to slavery!
With gratitude, Nell
