Bring Home the Homeless by Nell Green, CBF Field Personnel

It was the first time we saw Central Baptist Church in Miami, Florida. We had heard of the homeless population of the area and that they were often found sleeping in the doorways of the church. We weren’t prepared for the actuality and truth of that statement, however. Having just returned from the overt poverty that exists in West Africa, we were stunned to see such need on the streets of a wealthy nation.

Want to go outside and play? by Nell Green, CBF Field Personnel

We had just moved to the inner city of Brussels with many of the same ghetto type problems that you would expect. However, my son greatly desired to play in the park in front of our house even though some of the kids were rough. “Well, if I don’t play with and get to know these kinds of kids, then I won’t know anyone. This is the only kind of kid who lives here. They are why we came!”
