Local churches in the San Francisco Bay Area have expressed a desire to invest time, money, and resources in ministries to international refugees. Many refugees have come from war-torn countries and arrive in California with almost no material possessions, household goods, clothes, or other personal items that many Americans would deem necessary for normal day-to-day living. Many refugees are continuing to arrive on a regular basis. This project provides a vehicle for churches to contribute financially and also for Christians to volunteer their time in ministering to the needs of international refugees. In addition to purchasing clothing or other basic family household necessities, funds could also be available for no interest loans from which refugees could benefit from its use in turning on utilities, buying a car, enrolling in school, acquiring uniforms for the first day of work, etc.
